As you know, the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment was passed by Minnesota voters this past November. We need your help to make sure tpt receives a portion of these funds to strengthen our programs and services to you. The Legislative Committee appointed to oversee the allocation process has asked all eligible organizations to provide feedback from supporters of the Amendment. Below is a sample letter, the body of which you can cut and paste into an electronic document and then fill in. Of course, feel free to write your own letter as well. One reason I support the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment is my hope that Twin Cities Public Television (TPT) might benefit from this new tax revenue. One of my expectations for the Amendment is that important cultural organizations like TPT, whose work makes available and preserves Minnesota's arts and cultural heritage, will be able to continue their excellent work, especially during this period of economic uncertainty. One of the differences I hope to see with this Amendment is that arts and culture be made more accessible to more communities. Twin Cities Public Television does this through not just broadcasts but through its websites, including the Minnesota Video Vault, where over 50 years of archived video is available, free, to the public.
